When you arrive
Finding your way around
You can download a map of the University area from the University’s web pages.
The Law Building (map ref. 28) is centrally located, just across the road from the Arts and Social Studies Library and a few hundred metres north of the Student Union Building.
Induction programme for international and European students
The University’s International Office provides all the information and support necessary to help ease the transition to life as a student at Cardiff. Once you have been made an offer here, for example, you will receive advice on such matters as immigration, visas, healthcare, climate and living in Cardiff. We can arrange to collect you by coach from Cardiff or Heathrow airports. We then provide an induction programme and, in the week before enrolment, there are various social events and visits to introduce you to Cardiff and to welcome you to Wales.
The International Office organises a variety of induction events for new international and European students to Cardiff University. These events include:
- Airport collection service
- Information Fair
- Parents’ welcome talk
- Campus tours
- Opening a bank account
- English language support courses
- International Students' Welcome Part
