Student Support
Disability and Specific Needs Tutor
The Law School welcomes students with disabilities and special educational needs. We aim to provide a learning environment in which all our students flourish and achieve their maximum potential. The Law School’s Disability and Specific Needs Tutor is the first point of contact within the school for any queries about disability or special needs issues.
For further advice, we strongly advise that students contact the University’s Disability and Dyslexia Service at the following address:
Student Support Centre, 50 Park Place, Cardiff, CF10 3AT
Tel: 029 2087 5363
Email: disability@cardiff.ac.uk or dyslexia@cardiff.ac.uk
The Law School encourages students with disabilities/learning difficulties to disclose their disability and/or needs as early as possible to ensure that we can make the appropriate adjustments to the curriculum and provide necessary learning support. It is our policy to work with you to identify potential barriers to successful study and participation in the life of the Law School, and to do what we can to remove them. If you did not disclose a disability on your application form, and have not yet notified anyone in the University, you may make a disclosure to any member of staff within the Law School (but preferably the Disability and Special Needs Tutor). Even if you have already disclosed your disability or learning difficulties on your application form or to the University, you may still wish to discuss your needs in the Law School with the Disability and Special Needs Tutor.
