The children and young people who took part in the KIDs project had lots of interesting things to say about the experiences of living through their parents' separation and divorce. One of the key messages from children was that they would have liked more support available to them, support which they could have accessed themselves. Children suggested that they would have liked someone to talk to or someone to go to for advice. Many of the children said they would have liked the opportunity to talk to other people - children or adults - who had experience of divorce themselves. In order to help other children through parental separation or divorce, the children we talked to wanted to pass on their own messages - messages, or advice, based on their own personal experience. They felt these might help others understand and cope with changes that happen when parents split up. To read what the children had to say, click on one of the headings below:
