Student Support
Staff/Student Panel
The Staff/Student Panel is a student consultative committee and its membership comprises student and staff representatives. The Panel meets three or four times a year and the agenda is used to consult with students over a range of issues and initiatives. The remit of the Panel is:
- to raise with the Law School Undergraduate Board of Studies and/or School Board matters relating to schemes of study and modules;
- be consulted on proposed major changes to schemes of study and modules;
- comment on the processes for obtaining student feedback, particularly the student questionnaires;
- contribute to and receive reports from the Annual Programme Review and Evaluation exercise and Periodic Review of schemes of study;
- receive and comment on such reports as the University and the Law School may from time to time specify;
- be advised of the outcomes of their interventions.
It is crucial that the Law School has an active Staff/Student Panel as the committee provides a forum where your views can be carried forward and considered by key members of the teaching staff. New representatives are elected to sit on the Panel at the start of the session.
Students will be notified during enrolment of vacancies, and the process for nominating student representatives to the Staff-Student Panel.
