LLM (Legal and Political Aspects of International Affairs) *starting 2012

In recent years, key global issues have raised the profile of international
affairs substantially. Lawyers are increasingly required to understand both
the law and political issues which influence how States and other
international actors behave.
Our LLM (Legal and Political Aspects of International Affairs) will help you
build the necessary level of expertise to succeed in the fast-growing world
of international affairs, in a stimulating and challenging environment.

| Study mode: | Full-time: over one year or Part-time: over two years |
| Structure: | Stage 1: You will study four modules, two of which are complusory (see above). The others may be chosen from our wide range of available modules or from those available in the School of European Studies. You will also take a course on postgraduate research skills. Stage 2: You complete a 15,000 word dissertation with staff supervision and submit it in September in the full-time mode, December in the second year of study in the part-time mode). |
Assessment: |
Most modules are assessed by an essay of 5,000 words. Written examinations are rare. |
| Entry requirements: | Usually equivalent to a second class degree in law, and an English langage qualification for non-native English speakers (6.5 in IELTS or 90 in TOEFL internet-based test). |
| Fees: | 2012/13: Home/EU: £5,150 International: £12,250, payable in three instalments for full-time students and six installments for part-time students. |
