Introduction

Tamara is a part-time research student working under the supervision of Dr. Nicki Priaulx and Prof. Robert Lee. Using Sub-Saharan Africa as her site of investigation, her doctoral research investigates whether widening access to affordable assisted reproductive technologies would help to strengthen the rights of involuntarily childless women within the developing world.

Tamara is also a dual qualified lawyer with admissions in England and Wales and Nigeria.  In Nigeria, she worked as a commercial lawyer in a leading corporate law firm and as a consultant to the Lagos State Ministry of Justice before moving in-house with Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (an Exxon-Mobil upstream subsidiary).

She is currently a research staff member of the ESRC Centre for Business Relationships, Accountability, Sustainability and Society (BRASS) and affiliated to the Centre for Health and Social Care Law (CHSCL), Cardiff Law School.  Tamara is also a member of the Social Study group of the ESHRE Special Task Force ‘Developing Countries and Infertility.'

Her current research interests include reproductive health and human rights, equity of access in reproductive health services, environmental justice, poverty and environmental linkages.
