Introduction
The Right Honourable Rhodri Morgan AM was appointed as an Honorary Distinguished Professor in 2010.
His appointment is a joint one with the School of European Studies at Cardiff University and reflects the efforts of both Schools in promoting the study of law and governance through the Wales Governance Centre.
Elected to the Assembly in May 1999, Rhodri held posts as Minister for Economic Development and European Affairs and First Secretary before becoming First Minister for Wales. He stepped down from his post as First Minister on 1st October 2009 and on 26th January 2010 was elected Chair of the European and External Affairs Committee. Rhodri is also a Member of the Assembly's Constitutional Affairs Committee and Legislation Committee No.2.
