Introduction
LL.B Hons. Kate Hawkins graduated in 1994 and was admitted as a solicitor in 1997. She qualified at Robertsons, Cardiff and practised civil and criminal litigation. In 1998, Kate joined the Duty Solicitor scheme. Kate joined the Crown Prosecution Service in Cardiff in 2004 as a Senior Crown Prosecutor. In 2005, she joined the Centre for Professional Legal Studies as deputy to the Director of the Professional Development Unit. Kate is now a Professional Tutor for the BVC. Kate continues to train and assess for the Police Station Accreditation Scheme and the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme, and sits on the test board. She is a trained mediator and is an IATC qualified advocacy tutor. Kate practises criminal litigation in Cardiff and is a duty solicitor.
