Introduction
Jackie Davies, B.A, LL.B, LL.M, joined Cardiff Law School seven years ago having studied law as a mature student. She teaches aspects of medical law at both undergraduate and postgraduate level and is course director of Foundations of English & EC Law, a compulsory first year module. She has written on access to medical records and, more recently, on disability discrimination law which remains the currect focus of her research interests. Her publications include "Patients’ rights of access to their health records" 2 Medical Law International (1996) 189-213 and "A New Deal for the disabled? Health & safety law, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and the employment of disabled people" (forthcoming).
