Introduction
M.A. (Oxon.) Madeleine graduated in Modern History in 1975. She did her articles with Morgan Bruce and Nicholas in Cardiff and remained with them until 1982. She was a sole practitioner until 1987 when she joined Leo Abse and Cohen of Cardiff, becoming a partner in 1990, specialising in personal injury litigation. She became a sole practitioner again in 1996. Madeleine has worked both as a voluntary worker and duty solicitor in the Cardiff CAB and has taught at the BVC course at the CPLS from 1997 to 2001. She is a member of the Welsh Personal Injury Lawyers Association. Madeleine was appointed a Deputy District Judge in 2000.
On the Legal Practice Course, Madeleine is a member of the team responsible for the compulsory course in Litigation and Advocacy and is responsible for Cwrs Eiriolaeth yn y Gymraeg ( the Welsh Advocacy Course) for both LPC and BVC students.
