At Cardiff, we are committed to maintaining an outstanding teaching and learning experience, the very best research, and unrivalled links with business and the public sector.
Cardiff Law School is a large, well resourced centre of excellence which plays a full role in serving the University in its mission as one of the UK’s leading institutions. We attract students from all over the world and offer a friendly and supportive environment in which to study. Read our policy on Equality and Diversity.
We offer a diverse range of undergraduate LLB programmes, postgraduate LLM routes and research opportunities, enabling students to specialise in areas of law of particular relevance to modern legal practice. Through our Centre for Professional Legal Studies, we provide the highly regarded BPTC and the LPC, which has consistently received the Solicitors Regulation Authority/Law Society’s highest rating, for students who wish to qualify as either barristers or solicitors of England and Wales.
The results of the latest Research Assessment Exercise recognise us as one of the UK’s leading legal research bodies, placing us 7th in the UK. Our international reputation attracts many distinguished academics and is reflected in the highly regarded research centres to which we contribute.
We offer the latest e-learning facilities, an outstanding library close to the building with over 100,000 volumes and 200 serial publications, and a wide range of activities to help enhance our students' employability. To find out more please see our Student Experience webpages.
In an increasingly globalised world, which emphasises specialisation in the international context, students can be assured that studying at Cardiff Law School will help them to play your part and provide them with the skills to adapt within the changing legal environment.
In addition to teaching and research, the Law School offers a number of other activities.
